Last updated on: 18 October 2022

Hi everyone, in this…’a “crazy” summer” from the point of view meteorological, there have been many comparisons with the previous ones… “…last year it was 30 degrees, last summer was much hotter, etc…” Well, here at DJ4 (DJs with sound systems for parties and events) the comparison As with last summer, we want to approach this from the perspective of musical. Do you remember the tracks you danced to the most in nightclubs and at parties in 2013? Would you like to compare them with the tracks that are getting you moving the most this summer?

Summer 2013 hits: which were the biggest?

I’m sure you remember them all: back in 2013, there was certainly no shortage of hit songs (which we played loads of times at parties and events… and we still play some of them today!):

‘Blurred Lines’ by Robin Thicke

'Play Hard' by David Guetta featuring Ne-Yo & Akon

Get Lucky – Daft Punk featuring Pharrell

and, above all, ‘Wake Me Up’ by Avicii, which then stayed with us throughout the autumn:

Summer 2014 songs: here are the most popular ones

Although it’s not quite over yet (there might still be a few hit songs to round off the summer…), the dance tracks from “Summer 2014” There are quite a few; not all of them (perhaps) are as gripping as some of last year’s, but there are certainly some real standouts!

‘We Are One (Ole Ola)’ by Pitbull featuring Jennifer Lopez & Claudia Leitte,

'Summer' by Calvin Harris

David Guetta with ‘Bad’ and ‘Lovers On The Sun’

Clean Bandit – Rather Be

Duke Dumont – I Got U

And what about you – from a musical point of view, do you prefer summer 2013 or this summer?
