A year in music: the best songs of 2015

First of all, before we talk about music, we’d like to thank the friends and customers of DJ4, which have enabled us to grow and make a name for ourselves in 2015 – thank you all! There have been absolutely loads of private parties and events where we’ve been in action providing our DJ and sound system services! But as well as saying thank you, it’s also time to rankings, to look back on the successes that have kept us company throughout 2015, with a particular focus on music for dancing.
The  EDM It took centre stage: once again this year, we see the biggest names from recent seasons: Axwell and Ingrosso with The Sun is Shining e Something New, Calvin Harris with How Deep Is Your Love, Martin Solveig with Intoxicated. A spectacular comeback for the Chemical Brothers, with Go. And how could we not mention, moving on to Tropical House, Firestone by newcomer Kaygo and Sugar by Robin Schulz, who has become one of the most sought-after producers of the moment.

Moving away from the classic dance music formulae, we’d like to highlight two standout tracks that defined the first half of 2015: the absolutely brilliant (and much-copied!) Lean On by Major Mazer and Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson. This track, one of the few funky tracks of the year, comes after a 2014 that had, by contrast, been rather “generous” with this musical genre.

Latin rhythms, on the other hand, know no downturn: just like every summer, the’summer 2015 It had its own “Latin-style” catchphrases.

Italian music… 2015 was a year full of great beats!

The 2015, for Italian music, it was particularly interesting: it opened with two rather innovative songs, featuring electronic sounds, by two much-loved artists: Jovanotti, with Saturday (during the year, it also entered the charts with Full of life e Summer on My Skin) and Nek, with Come on over, darling, which we’re letting you hear in these remixed versions that have also been a hit in nightclubs:

And to round things off, how could we not mention Baby K and Giusy Ferreri with Rome–Bangkok (We can still hear your singing in our ears when the chorus of this song kicked in!) and J-Ax with Chile with Maria Salvador.

This was just a taste of what 2015 has been like – a year full of dancing! It certainly brings together all the best moments of the year that’s drawing to a close, but that’s not all (there’ll be plenty of news (from the latest hits to the greatest tracks of the past) is already packed in our record bags (as well as on our laptops) to ensure you have a brilliant time this New Year's Eve!
