More and more country!

Last updated on: 4 July 2022

Hi everyone, here we are again with a music update that takes a bit of a look at the current trends. I’m sure you’ve noticed: whenever you tune into any radio station, you’re literally inundated with country sound (contaminated by the dance and from the pop). The phenomenon began shortly after the explosion of “”Wake Me Up” by Avicii, and straight away (given its success…) others followed suit Pitbull featuring Ke$ha with Timber (which is proving a huge hit); then Avicii himself gave it another go with the hugely popular “Hey, mate“. All three are songs we always play I’d be more than happy to come to your parties 🙂 And in the near future, many DJ-producers are set to ride the wave…

Country dancing and country music in Italian!

But the phenomenon of country music’s influence has gone beyond its “partnership” with dance music: it has also crossed paths with the pop! In fact, today, the most-played song on Radio Deejay is actually The Man by Aloe Blacc  (the singer of the aforementioned “Wake Me Up”, produced by Avicii) and “our very own” Max Pezzali was no exception: ‪Cowboys never give up‬ It’s a very catchy (almost “naive”) track which, in its lyrics as well as its music, recaptures that old-fashioned “saloon”-style atmosphere of the Wild West. We’re willing to bet it’ll be one of the songs most popular next spring.

Finally, let’s take a step back a few years: going back to 2009, do you remember “Not Fair” by the lovely Lilly Allen? Go and have another listen to it HERE: perhaps she was the one who started this country trend! Certainly, the time is right to bring it back (and we’re already doing so at parties, with great success: you still love it!) and, why not, create a remixed version to dance to!
