The highlights of Autumn/Winter 2020–2021: perfect for dancing – and much more besides

The end of summer is often seen as the end of the fun, a return to everyday life, and so on…
But with us at DJ4, there’s no such risk: we’re here to let you soak up the warmth and light-heartedness typical of summer, even in autumn and winter. With our fantastic parties, of course!

Here’s a selection of the songs that are defining this period – our secret weapons to keep you entertained and create just the right atmosphere… And speaking of the right atmosphere, let’s start with a few tracks that aren’t just there to fill the dance floor but are useful in the early stages of the party… at the start, when people are eating or doing the’aperitif it is not appropriate “put the pedal to the metal straight away”.

For example, don’t you think “Smokin' Out the Window” by Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak, Silk Sonic? Well, let’s just say that Bruno Mars has been a staple on DJ4’s playlists for years with his tracks, so every now and then we like to include a few tracks from his earlier albums, such as 24K Magic.

But let’s get back to the music of the moment, with CKay and his Love Nwantiti [Ah Ah Ah] Remix: it’s a brilliant example of rhythmic black music that gets you moving, and the success it’s enjoying (the video has almost reached 150 million views on YouTube) is entirely deserved.

And we really liked “Health” by Stromae (another “friend” of DJ4“s – in the sense that we “played it a lot alongside the old ”Alors on danse”’) which serves as a preview of the as-yet-unreleased album due to be released in 2022. In the lyrics, Stromae raises a toast to those who work so that others can celebrate. In short, ultimately, he’s talking about us too!

DANCE MUSIC FOR AUTUMN/WINTER 2021/22 WITH BENNY BENASSI AND PURPLE DISCO MACHINE

Staying within the realm of hip-hop, but moving on to something a bit more dance-oriented, here are two tracks I wanted to recommend to you. The first is Ed Sheeran with Shivers, in the successful version remix by Offenbach (We’re not so keen on the latest Overpass Graffiti, though.).

The second one, on the other hand, has something of home about it too: the piece Golden Nights In fact, *Sophie and the Giants* has been produced in collaboration with the renowned DJ Benny Benassi and Dardust (pianist, composer and producer from Ascoli)

Still on the subject of dance music, the following are always a safe bet: Purple Disco Machine, which, with Dopamine (produced in collaboration with Eyelar) are getting everyone dancing after winning us over with the hits “Hypnotized” and “Fireworks” (it’s worth noting that Purple Disco Machine is actually the stage name of Tino Piontek, a 41-year-old DJ from Dresden). Riding the wave of this summer’s success, also Kungs (he has performed on some of the world’s most prestigious stages, such as Coachella and Tomorrowland) is one of the key figures in this final stretch of 2021, with  Lipstick , which is reminiscent of the sound of the 1980s and disco.

Let’s turn our attention instead to the Latin world with Pepas by Farruko: a real hit that we’ve been carrying with us since this summer right through to New Year’s Eve: there’s no point trying – this track is simply irresistible – and it’s still one of the main crowd-pleasers, even though Farruko has already released his new track “El Incomprendido”, which, to be honest, is very similar.

And finally, how could we not focus specifically on our own country’s music?

The first artist we’d like to look at is Blanco: What can I say? The breakout star of 2021, who with “Until they bury me” (following the romantic *Blu Celeste*) is rounding off the year in the best possible way. They’re no longer a new act (even though they’re still very young!) Madame e Sfera Ebbasta who, with their “You understood me” are doing really well; we particularly like the remix of Dino Brown.

And the  Måneskin? theirs Oh my goodness That’s really brilliant! Hats off to these lads from Rome who managed to take to the stage in Las Vegas with Mick Jagger.

This 2020–2021 winter, which is not yet over, is one of the most varied and bountiful of recent years: a wide range of styles and genres, some very different indeed, which, when they “pass through the hands” of us at DJ4 They can provide the perfect soundtrack, depending on the mood, the guests at the party or the event for which you’ve contacted us.
