DJ for an 18th birthday party @Terrazza Brian&Barry, Milan

Here we are with another update for DJ4©; this time, we’d like to tell you about a eighteenth in Milan Chiara’s party was truly “amazing”. First of all, let’s start with the venue: Chiara chose a truly exclusive venue in Milan for her 18th birthday party: the Brian & Barry Terrace, which is located in San Babila, a stone’s throw from the Duomo of Milan. Many celebrities and businesspeople from Milan’s high society have held their parties at this venue, which is also very popular for the most sophisticated corporate events.

The Brian&Barry Terrace is a venue from which you can enjoy the night-time view of the city centre (it’s on the tenth floor); it’s a very elegant venue which, for the occasion, has been completely transformed by us at DJ4: we’ve installed our special lighting system, but that’s not all: for a proper 18th birthday party, you also need a sound system that “really rocks” (if you’ll excuse the little digression into 18-year-old slang). The sound system Yamaha The very latest-generation system, complete with floor-standing subwoofers (delivering a total of 3,000 watts of crystal-clear, deep sound), was in fact crucial to the success of the evening – so much so that even the venue owner and the events manager have already added us to their list of trusted suppliers… we’ll see each other again soon 🙂

But let’s get back to the 18th birthday party by Chiara: the young people’s arrival, at around 8 pm, was accompanied by music that was initially lounge, before moving on, with a gradual build-up, to deep and soulful tracks – high-quality and classy, yet full of rhythm: a set perfectly suited to the audience of elegant 18-year-olds keen to have a good time, in style.

Whilst we wait to let our hair down on the dance floor, it’s time for a toast and some cake… always a special moment, especially on this occasion!
In fact, Chiara’s parents were there, and the birthday girl performed a beautiful dance with her dad, and in a singing performance with her best friend (check out the video! :-)).

Just a few minutes and… the dances! The line-up was very varied, and the dance floor remained packed throughout the three or so hours (we’ve condensed it all into the video you can watch below).

We got off to a flying start, with a selection dance high-energy (EDM, but not only that), before moving on to the 90s (yes, really!), happy music, and the’hip hop towards the end. In short, these “grown-up” 18-year-olds really enjoyed a well-rounded musical experience. It doesn’t always work out like this: sometimes, as we’ve mentioned in other posts, there’s been room for new tracks for almost the entire duration of the event. In short, you’ve got the picture: the personalisation of the event and the DJ’s ability to “read” the dance floor and the audience are key elements: DJ Jody and Mr Ricky, as the birthday girl Chiara writes to us, pulled it off:
