Here at DJ4 – DJs providing sound and lighting systems for parties and events – we’re the experts in 18th birthday parties: we’ve organised hundreds of 18th in Milan, And that’s not all. But today we want to tell you about a particular party that took place at the venue METROLOFTEVENTI in Milan, with whom we have an ongoing partnership. In recounting the Melissa’s 18th birthday party, you need to start the day before. Patrizia, her mum, was incredibly keen for her daughter’s party to be a success and decided to take charge of the set-up herself, making all the decorations by hand. Taking advantage of the fact that the venue was available, she purchased the “extra time” package and began preparing everything the evening before. The balloon arch and the sequinned backdrop were particularly successful, making the cake-cutting moment in Room 2 a special occasion. In fact, there were two cake-cutting ceremonies: after the first part in Room 2, the second took place on the terrace, with cold fountains creating a warm atmosphere.
But let’s take a step back and start from the beginning of the party. The guests arrived at around 9.30 pm, and the’reception took place at the close-up: spacious surroundings and a special atmosphere created by the lighting. During this initial phase, an aperitif was served, accompanied by a small buffet, to welcome the first guests and offer them a drink.
LET’S GET THE PARTY STARTED FOR MELISSA’S 18TH BIRTHDAY!
After about an hour and a half, we invited everyone to move upstairs, where Rooms 2, 3 and the terrace. Since a small number of guests (just over 20 people), it was decided to gather them in a more intimate setting to dance. Upstairs, the party really got going: the dancing began in Room 3, where the bar was also set up, and in Room 2. Meanwhile, on the terrace, some guests went out to have a smoke or enjoy a quiet drink.
FROM BILLIE EILISH TO GROUP DANCES
As for the soundtrack, Melissa expressed her love for Billie Eilish, so we played her songs during the first part of the party, particularly tracks from her latest album, *Hit Me Hard And Soft*. In the second half, as well as playing Billie Eilish’s biggest dance hits, such as the remix of “Bad Guy”, we got everyone dancing to the latest dance, reggaeton and house hits, including a spot of group dancing. In short, a variety of music that made the party absolutely brilliant! A special thank you to Melissa, Patrizia and Luca.
