Here’s a music update on the latest trend in dance music: the Latin House. that is to say, House music with Latin influences, which is all the rage in all the clubs and discos in Ibiza – and beyond.
After the fly’s “big feast” EDM, a genre has made a comeback – one that, in truth, never really disappeared completely, but which had been shelved and had gone somewhat out of fashion.
He’s back, of course, updated, changing its appearance, but always retaining the freshness which sets it apart, making it particularly well-suited for evenings out at beachside discos and in clubs.
Here it is HERE And here’s our mix, just under an hour long, featuring only the songs The Latin House of the moment. It gets off to a fairly gentle start with ’Calippo“ by Mesa Verde, before finishing with two tracks with a slightly ”stronger“ sound, though still firmly in the ”Latin House’ genre: namely, Kryder & Thoneick’s cover of ‘Vazilando (Shorty)’ and their own track ‘The Chant’.
Two important points to note: this is a “long mix” featuring extended versions of songs from July and August, and all from a specific genre; so it’s not representative of a hypothetical night out at a nightclub, where you can take your time… and explore a wider range of musical genres! During our evenings, we keep the tracks much shorter to maintain a more relentless pace and get the audience more involved. In short, it’s a real “gem” of light-hearted yet sophisticated music to listen to – and, why not, dance to – on these sweltering days!
