From the 2021 Super Bowl to your party? Why not!

Once again this year, the Super Bowl It was a magical event from a musical point of view, and we simply have to tell you all about it, to give you some ideas for your next party with us at DJ4! First, a brief “overview” of the event: on the night between Sunday 7 and Monday 8 February, the 55th National Football League final was held at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida: Tampa Bay Buccaneers (who came out on top) vs. Kansas City. In pre-pandemic times, the Super Bowl involved a week of musical events in a city (which varies each year) that is flooded with tens of thousands of people; just think that stadiums typically accommodate 70,000 spectators. This year, the stadium was filled to a third of its capacity, and 7,500 healthcare workers were in attendance, having been given free tickets.

Sponsored, as usual, by Pepsi, the event was nonetheless… lively! Whilst the 2020 edition had featured on stage Jennifer Lopez e Shakira, this year the two most important guests were The Weeknd e Miley Cyrus. As for the Canadian singer, we’d like to point out, amongst other things, that tickets for his only Italian date in December 2022 sold out in a matter of minutes just a few days ago. The Weeknd performed at the half-time show, playing his biggest hits, starting with Starboy (opening song), followed by The Hill a I can’t feel my face and from his latest album, *The Highlights*, released on 5 February, Save your tears. In total, no fewer than seven songs, many of which are undoubtedly among our favourites: at many parties, The Weekend is often played – especially early on – to get the evening “up and running”; for example, ‘Secrets’, which has a great beat (though he didn’t perform it at the Super Bowl).

 The evening’s opening performance was given by Miley Cyrus, sporting her cheerleader look, who gave a sneak preview of her new musical show, TikTok Tailgate, singing ‘Nothing Breaks Like a Heart’ and the carefree Party In The U.S.A.. which we really did “enjoy” in the past, and which we sometimes still serve today.

She also performed on stage with the legendary Billy Idol: in the rock festivals (LINK) The American rocker can make all the difference!

The National Anthem was sung before the start of the match by the duo comprising country artist Eric Church and Jazmine Sullivan, representing the world of R&B. Finally, H.E.R. (aka Gabriella Wilson) had the honour of performing ’America the Beautiful“.
