Our DJ4 AperiVinyl It’s the new format conceived e completed as a DJ Jody Belli by DJ4 (a company specialising in DJs for parties) and set up to make a difference during aperitif time, bringing our passion for Funky and Disco music, strictly mixed with vinyl records. A repertoire classy (not 70s music in the style of the “Village People”, just so we’re clear….) but a collection of vinyl records, which we use to AperiVinyl, built up over many years, featuring singles by James Brown, Parliament, The Temptations and Earth, Wind & Fire, to name but a few. We start with the more laid-back tracks and then build up the tempo, always with class. At the heart of the success of this project – which caters for venues, private events and corporate functions – lies not only passion but also an eye for detail. Starting with the equipment: if it isn’t available at the venue where we’re performing, we bring our trusty “adventure companions” – the legendary Technics 1200s, which are as good as new and which, on their own, are enough to capture the audience’s attention. The basis of the project AperiVinyl, a selection of Funky and Disco music. Two musical genres that became a global phenomenon throughout the 1970s, which we’re playing to accompany your aperitif with rhythm and style (and then, as the evening goes on, to get you up and dancing!).
FROM JAMES BROWN TO GEORGE BENSON
There have been thousands of songs and artists in the funk and disco genres, but we’d still like to mention a few of them – the ones we play most often on our AperiVinyl programme: Earth, Wind & Fire (how could you not play “September”), George Benson (‘Give Me the Night’, amongst many others), James Brown (Funky Drummer, Gravity, Sex Machine) and then also the The Whispers, such as “And the beat goes on”, which was then “borrowed” 20 years later by Will Smith for the film *Miami*. In fact, many contemporary artists successfully draw inspiration from 70s funk and disco tracks: Bruno Mars, The Weeknd, Daft Punk and many others! In the short video you can watch on this page, you can hear what we performed live at a gig on’AperiVinyl (featuring a guest appearance by the saxophonist during the DJ set).
Often, the music played during aperitifs is improvised and fails to capture the audience’s attention. DJ4 AperiVinyl©, on the other hand, was created to offer a truly special experience at your venue. To achieve this, we have drawn on the experience, dedication and professionalism gained over 25 years of work. The video on this page provides an unfiltered insight into what we’re doing.
We would also like to point out that the performance can also be staged with the addition, on request, of the saxophonist, for a DJ set accompanied by a live performance. In short, a spectacular show is guaranteed. Just as the professionalism in organising the evening is guaranteed. We are committed to fostering a spirit of sharing and collaboration with the venue’s management, so that we always have a high level qualitative.

The key to the success of the AperiVinyl© , the meticulous coordination of DJ4 in collaboration with the trade fair and event organisers, so that we can decide together on the timetable and what is required to stage the performance. We have at our disposal a Audio, lighting and video services to cater for events of all kinds and sizes (from a small house party to a street party).
